15 Women’s Only Gyms in London (2026)
Have you ever wanted to start lifting weights or working out, but stopped yourself from fear of being judged or looked at?
The gym can help us to reach our health and fitness goals, and make us feel amazing (hello endorphins!), however, many of us can feel uneasy about exercising in front of others.
I know exactly how that feels; as a gym newbie, I found just walking in and getting started quite intimidating at first, and felt like everyone would be able to sense that I was a rookie! There are also certain areas of the gym that can be traditionally dominated by men, such as strength training (a stereotype, but it’s true!).
Nowadays, there are lots of women’s only gyms popping up across the capital and beyond, that could be perfect for anyone on starting out on a fitness journey, offering equal access to all equipment and spaces, ideal for those that prefer a female-centric exercise environment.
Remember to always double check with each establishment as details can change at short notice.
Here are some of the best women’s only gyms in London and the UK…

I’ve also compiled a gift guide for gym fanatics so if you’re looking for present ideas for the fitness lovers in your life, you might want to take a peek.
