Enjoy a selection of finger dhokla sandwiches, with coriander and mint chutney, raisin scones with clotted cream and jam, and colourful macarons, amongst other tasty sweet and savoury treats.

The tea provides a fusion of British tradition with Indian flavours, and takes place in the former town hall at Holborn, decorated with persian carpets, paintings and ornate glass chandeliers cover the ceiling. Stunning!

Afternoon tea at Colonel Saab costs £25pp or £48 for two, and there’s also an option to add prosecco to your afternoon tea.

High Chai at Baluchi

Expect a twist on the traditional at restaurant Baluchi, located in a converted school building in central London, with dramatic high ceilings and opulent blue decor.

Sample tasty nibbles such as tandoori chicken sliders and batter fried padron peppers stuffed with masala potatoes, plus sweet treats including rose yoghurt and pistachio topped tartlets.

The Indian Jasmine Afternoon Tea at Kona

Located at the 5 star Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences, this Indian Jasmine Afternoon tea at restaurant Kona is perfect for marking a special occasion. You’ll sample zesty treats and fragrant sweets, including khandvi chutney tarts, aloo bonda mango chutney buns and gulabi trifle.

They also serve a secret garden afternoon tea at Kona, which looks equally delicious! Be sure to admire the hidden courtyard and the cherub adorned fountain after your tea; it’s a beautiful hidden gem.

Afternoon Tea on The Terrace at Cinnamon Kitchen

Enjoy a classic afternoon tea on the Terrace with a twist! Sample favourites including masala fish finger sandwiches, and sweet treats such as saffron macaroons and raspberry and pink peppercorn almond cakes. Yum!
