Whether it’s buying healthy food, or heading to the gym for a work out, everything seems to be creeping up! As a London local I have been scouring the internet for the cheapest gym memberships in the capital, as we don’t want to be paying more than we need to.
I’ve also compiled a gift guide for gym fanatics so if you’re looking for present ideas for the fitness lovers in your life, you might want to take a peek.
9 Cheap Gyms in London 2026: Affordable Gym Memberships
Here is a list of some of the more affordable gyms in London, known for offering budget-friendly memberships and great facilities:
Class Pass – Free one Month Trial
With Class Pass you’ll get credits to book yoga sessions, pilates, cycling or gym time at popular locations. Sign up to a try a whole month with Class Pass for free and use your credits to try whichever fitness classes you fancy!
I spotted a bounce class that looked pretty fun, as well as Taylor Swift and Hannah Montana themed spin classes. Sign me up!

As well as fitness classes, Class Pass members can use credits towards wellness treatments, like massages and meditation, and beauty treatments, such as blow drys, manicures and lashes.
ClassPass offers fitness classes and appointments in over 2500 locations globally.
Gym4Less
If you sign up to a Gym4Less Annual membership, it works out at £19.99 per month, or you can try a month at a time for £22.99. As this includes peak hours, this is one of the best value memberships on offer currently!
This gym has a ladies only section (if you prefer women’s only workout spaces, I’ve got you covered) and 24/7 access.
Gym4Less is based in Hounslow.
GoodGym
Okay this one is being bumped higher up the list, because it’s free and it’s an opportunity to volunteer and help your local community!
It’s not technically a gym though; it’s a registered charity that help the community by completing tasks such as planting trees, helping elderly people with garden or house maintenance, cleaning and more. It’s physical work so guaranteed to get your blood pumping, and they run social events too, so it’s a great way to socialise and meet new people.

The Gym Group
The Gym Group have locations all across London, with prices starting at approximately £20- £30 per month. However, I’ve done some digging and these are some of their off peak prices, and some introductory offers for their newest gyms:
- Battersea – from £15.99 a month
- London Shepherd’s Bush – £14.99 per month
- London Swiss Cottage – £14.99 per month
- London Acton – £18.99 per month
- London Alperton – £16.99 per month
- London East Ham high street – £19.99
You’ll need to factor in a £10-£15 joining fee, but that’s not a bad price.
Remember, you can make the most of introductory deals and then switch if you find a price that works better for you; make sure you do the calculations and stay savvy!

I only recently realised that JD have their own range of gyms?! Have I been living under a rock or is this common knowledge…
Anyway, if you are on the outskirts of London, you can head to the Uxbridge branch for £25.99 a month. There’s a new gym popping up in Enfield soon, too.
