Eating challenges usually involve eating a humongous portion of food in one sitting, or can include eating super spicy dishes. Pick your poison! Usually you will need to complete the challenges individually, with no help in order to qualify and be deemed a champ. Camden BBQ ‘Man Vs Ribs’ Fully Loaded Challenge

Formerly known as Porky’s, Camden BBQ hosts this famous food challenge every Thursday evening from 5pm.

Expect 2 racks of smoked hickory bbq ribs served on a bed of fully loaded fries, plus pulled pork, mac ‘n cheese, jalapenos, bbq sauce, blue cheese sauce and sriracha. Complete the challenge in 30 minutes and your feast is free!

Polo Bar’s Pancake Tower Challenge

If you have more of a sweet tooth, perhaps this is the challenge for you…

Attempt to munch your way through a tower of 12 american style pancakes, sandwiched between your choice of three toppings; seasonal berries, cookies and cream, or banoffee and biscoff.

Conquer the tower within 15 minutes and your meal is free!

For those who prefer savoury treats, Polo’s Bar offer an equally impressive burger tower challenge made up of 5 steak patties and brioche buns, on a bed of fries and onion rings.

For those celebrating a special Birthday, you could try the birthday pancake stack, complete with sprinkles, a sparkler and a slice of rainbow coloured birthday cake.

MEATliquor’s Chili Challenge

This super spicy challenge is not for the weak!

Tackle a trio of the spiciest dishes on the menu; a Green Chili Cheese burger, Chili Dog and chili cheese fries. There are plant based versions of all three if you are vegan or vegetarian.

Polish off all three in 10 minutes and it’s free!

‘Man Vs Food’ London

Inspired by the original show, Man Vs Food London describes itself as ‘Disneyland for Grown Ups’ and is all about the food challenges. It’s worth noting there is a regular menu if you’re fancying a lighter bite, though.

The challenges include eating 30 chicken wings, a metre long hot dog, three full racks of pork ribs, and for their hottest challenge, which includes buffalo wings covered in naga ghost chilli sauce, participants are required to sign a waiver before taking part! They are not messing about.

The largest of all of the challenges on offer is a 3.5kg beef burger which must be eaten within 40 minutes. Easy!

The food challenges range in price from £30 to £80, and by completing the challenges participants can win the cost of their dish back, or can win cash prizes of up to £350!

Those that fail to complete the challenge must face the ultimate forfeit… a photo on the Man Vs Food wall wearing a toilet seat of shame.
